Everglades City Limo Service
Everglades City & Chokoloskee Limo Service — Private Chauffeured Everglades Day Trips
Airboats, stone crabs, and the wild Ten Thousand Islands — Juno Elite Black Limo provides private chauffeured trips to Everglades City and Chokoloskee from Naples, Marco Island, Fort Myers, and Miami, plus transportation for residents, anglers, and event guests, 24/7.
At the southern edge of Collier County, where the Tamiami Trail meets the mangroves, Everglades City is the last outpost before the wilderness of the Ten Thousand Islands and Everglades National Park. It is a tiny, unpretentious fishing town with a big history: it was once the county seat, a company town built by the developer who gave Collier County its name. Across a short causeway lies Chokoloskee, an island built atop ancient shell mounds, home to a historic trading post and generations of fishing families. Together they are the gateway to one of the most remarkable natural areas on Earth.
Most people experience Everglades City as a day trip: an airboat ride through the mangroves, a boat tour among the islands, a stone crab lunch, and a stop at a museum or roadside landmark along the Trail. Getting there takes time — it is roughly 45 minutes to an hour from Naples and longer from Fort Myers or Miami — and the roads are long, straight, and dark at night. A private chauffeur turns the trip into a relaxing adventure, with someone else handling the miles and the timing.

A Brief History of Everglades City
Long before modern settlement, the Calusa people built shell mounds and villages throughout the Ten Thousand Islands, including the mound that forms Chokoloskee Island. In the late nineteenth century, pioneers arrived to fish, hunt, farm, and trade, and the area became a remote frontier accessible mainly by boat. In the 1920s, developer Barron Collier, for whom Collier County is named, chose the settlement then known as Everglade as the base for building the Tamiami Trail across the Everglades. He built a company town with offices, housing, a bank, and a laundry, and Everglades City served as the county seat until a hurricane in 1960 prompted the move of county government to the Naples area.
Since then, Everglades City has remained a small fishing community, known for stone crabs and for its role as the western gateway to Everglades National Park. Hurricanes have tested it repeatedly, and each time residents have rebuilt. Today it welcomes visitors from around the world who come to experience the wild Everglades.
Stone Crab Season
Everglades City is one of Florida’s most important stone crab harbors. Stone crab season runs from mid-October through early May, and the claws are a beloved local delicacy, often served chilled with mustard sauce. Many of our Everglades day trips are planned around a stone crab lunch during the season. If you are visiting from out of state, it is an experience worth the drive — and with a chauffeur, you can enjoy it with a cold drink and no worries about the road home.
Why Choose a Private Chauffeur for the Everglades?
- Comfort. A cool, quiet luxury SUV between hot, humid stops is a welcome relief.
- Flexibility. Unlike group bus tours, you set the schedule and choose the stops.
- Safety. The Tamiami Trail is long, two-lane, and dark at night. A professional chauffeur handles it.
- Local knowledge. Our chauffeurs know the area’s roadside stops, tour operators, and timing.
- Privacy. Your group travels together, on your own terms.
- No parking stress. During the seafood festival and busy weekends, parking in town is limited.
Wildlife Along the Way
Part of the magic of an Everglades trip is the wildlife you see from the road. Along the Tamiami Trail and around Everglades City, it is common to spot alligators basking along the canals, great blue herons, egrets, wood storks, roseate spoonbills, anhingas, ospreys, and swallow-tailed kites in season. Lucky visitors may see otters, deer, or even a black bear. Our chauffeurs are happy to pull over safely at designated areas so you can take photos and enjoy the view. Please remember that wildlife here is wild — admire from a distance and never feed alligators.
Groups and Corporate Outings
An Everglades excursion makes a memorable outing for corporate retreats, family reunions, and visiting groups staying in Naples or on Marco Island. For groups larger than six, call us at (855) 586-6552 to talk through options. One point of contact keeps the logistics simple for the organizer.
Fishing Trips in the Ten Thousand Islands
Serious anglers know the backcountry around Everglades City and Chokoloskee as one of the best fishing areas in Florida, with snook, redfish, tarpon, trout, and more in the mangrove creeks and along the islands. Guided trips often launch at first light. We make the land side easy:
- Pre-dawn pickups from Naples, Marco Island, or your lodging so you reach the dock on time
- Room for rods, tackle bags, and coolers in full-size SUVs
- Pickup at the dock when your guide returns
- A stop for lunch or dinner, and a comfortable ride home after a long day
Seasonal Notes
Winter
The best time to visit the Everglades: cooler, drier weather, fewer mosquitoes, and abundant wildlife concentrated near water. Stone crab season is in full swing, and the seafood festival takes place in February. Book early.
Spring
Still pleasant, with good fishing and birding. Temperatures rise by late spring.
Summer
Hot, humid, and buggy, with daily thunderstorms. Airboat tours still run, and early-morning trips are best. Air-conditioned transportation is especially welcome.
Hurricane season
Everglades City and Chokoloskee are low-lying and exposed to storm surge. From June through November we monitor forecasts closely and communicate early about any changes.

Visiting From Miami or Fort Lauderdale
Not every Everglades City visitor comes from the west. Many travelers staying in Miami, Miami Beach, or Fort Lauderdale want to see the western Everglades and the Ten Thousand Islands, which are far less crowded than the parks closer to the east coast. We provide private round-trip day excursions from South Florida hotels across the Tamiami Trail, with stops at Big Cypress viewing areas, an airboat ride or boat tour in Everglades City, and lunch before the return drive. It is a long day, but a spectacular one, and having a professional chauffeur means you can rest on the way home.
Our Vehicles
Every trip is in a full-size luxury black SUV with leather seating, generous legroom, and strong rear climate control. On a hot Everglades day, stepping back into a cool, clean vehicle after an airboat ride is a real pleasure. The cargo area holds coolers, camera gear, fishing equipment, and luggage.
Safety and Standards
All Juno Elite chauffeurs hold commercial driver’s licenses and have passed background checks and drug testing. They are trained in defensive driving and client service, and they are experienced on the long, two-lane Tamiami Trail and State Road 29, where wildlife, slow vehicles, and cyclists are common. Our vehicles are maintained on a strict schedule and inspected before each trip. We plan departures so that return drives happen in daylight whenever possible.
Tips for Your Everglades Trip
- Bring sun protection and insect repellent, especially from spring through fall.
- Book tours in advance during winter weekends and festival season.
- Wear comfortable shoes and light layers. Boats can be breezy and boardwalks can be long.
- Plan for a full day. The drive is part of the experience; do not rush it.
- Share your tour times with us so we can plan pickup and lunch around them.
Serving Everglades City and Chokoloskee Residents
For the people who live in Everglades City and Chokoloskee year-round, isolation is part of life. The nearest major grocery stores, hospitals, specialists, and airports are an hour or more away. Reliable transportation makes a real difference, particularly for older residents and those who cannot drive. We provide:
- Rides to medical appointments in Naples, with wait-and-return service
- Airport transfers to RSW, APF, and MIA at any hour
- Shopping trips to Naples with time for multiple stops
- Transportation for visiting family arriving by air
- Rides to celebrations and events across Collier County
We keep your preferences on file and schedule recurring rides in advance, so you can count on us every time.
Photography and Nature Excursions
The western Everglades are a magnet for photographers and naturalists. Sunrise over the mangroves, wading birds feeding in the shallows, ghost orchids in the Fakahatchee, and the dramatic skies of summer storms all draw visitors with cameras. With hourly service, your chauffeur can take you to sunrise locations before dawn, wait while you shoot, and move you between preserves and viewpoints throughout the day. Our SUVs have room for tripods, lenses, and bags, and your gear stays secure in the vehicle while you explore. Birders appreciate the ability to stop at multiple sites — Big Cypress viewing areas, Fakahatchee’s boardwalk, and the waterfront in Everglades City — without worrying about parking or navigation.
Our Promise
A trip to the Everglades should be about the wonder of the place, not the logistics of getting there. Call (855) 586-6552 any time — a real person answers 24/7 and will help you plan your Everglades adventure.
Combining the Everglades With Marco Island or Naples
Many visitors pair an Everglades excursion with a stay on Marco Island or in Naples. A typical plan: a morning airboat ride and stone crab lunch in Everglades City, an afternoon at the beach, and dinner on Fifth Avenue South or on Marco. With hourly service, your chauffeur can handle the whole day, waiting at each stop and keeping your belongings secure in the vehicle. Others combine the trip with a visit to the Naples Botanical Garden in East Naples or a boat tour from Marco’s marinas. However you build your day, we will help with the timing and routing so you can enjoy every moment.
The Everglades are one of the great natural wonders of the world, and Everglades City is one of the best places to experience them. Let Juno Elite Black Limo take care of the miles so you can focus on the mangroves, the wildlife, and the memories. Reserve online or call our team any time.
